The mornings can be a bit crazy in our house during the week, particularly Monday mornings. The craziness is only compounded when the school has designated the day as a "special" non-uniform day, but requiring each child wear some random color.
Today: no uniforms, but boys must wear white shirts and jeans. You would think it would be easy-peasy to pick out non-uniform, white shirts, but I am here to inform you, it is almost impossible. After many a trial and error, we settled on "mostly-white" as working out for each of the boys. I spent all morning during this trial and error session thankful for school uniforms. I could never make it without them.
After the slight delay brought on by the switch in attire, we were rushing around to get the boys' backpacks up and ready to go so Chris could drop them at school. Griffin was putting his backpack on his back, when he stopped and said to me, "Oh, Mom, I have to ask you something really important."
As he said this, Aidan and Brennan were already on their way out the door. He watched them go anxiously and said, "You know what, Mom. don't worry about it. I will ask Aidan. He knows everything anyway."
Thank goodness for uniforms and Aidan, who knows everything anyway. What would we do without them?
